Clay pigeon shooting is a gold star banker, everyone loves it and with a little expert tuition everyone can do it, so you're guaranteed plenty of fun and a bit of healthy competition with the boys. We run top drawer clay shooting programmes using specially selected venues and instructors; many will be some of the best venues you are ever likely to shoot at. You'll be kitted out, made safe and be given great instruction. The number of clays and set up will vary with the programme you choose and the format of the day will depend on your group size, but we'll optimize every setting including the event support to ensure you get “more bang for your buck!”. With StagWeb there's plenty more to it than just turning up, our goal is for you to absolutely get the most out of the day.
format
introduction and safety briefing followed by assignment of your very own instructor (larger groups will have several). Typically you will shoot 20-50 clays +, depending on your preferences, over various traps and stands e.g. sporting, Teal, High Bird, d-t-l, rabbit, Olympic trap, all necessary equipment will be provided.
duration
allow a morning or afternoon session – in some cases you can easily combine clay pigeon shooting with another activity in a single am or pm session, please let us know. Timings will vary with group size, chosen number of clays and preferred location.
equipment
shotguns of varying bores and styles, e.g. 12 bore, 20 bore, side-by-side, over & under, semi-automatic, ear protectors. Please note clothing and footwear will not be provided.
clothing
the clay shooting is obviously outside so dress appropriately, trainers or boots for good grip. Always check the weather forecast. Take some gloves if it's going to be cold because nimble fingers are important. The gun’s going to be tight to your shoulder and cheek so avoid cumbersome clothing.

Clay shooting is usually run as a half-day event, but we can combine with other activities in a half or full day, or if you require we can build a whole day around clay shooting, including catering, prizes and transport as required. We have specialist clay shooting centres or run multi-activity sites depending on your preferences. Whatever you choose you'll get plenty out of a first-class clay shooting session and everybody should leave happy that guns have been involved on the stag weekend.
