Where to Go on Your Prague Stag Night

Old Town

As with most Eastern European countries, The Old Town (known as Staré Mĕsto) is the place to head. It's situated on the east side of the River Vltava, and the Old Town Square (Staromĕnstské nám), where the Astrological Clock Tower is located, is a good place to start with side streets in and around it packed with incredible pubs, bars, and absinthe shops.

Malá Strana

Just across Charles Bridge, on the other side of the river, you'll find the Malá Strana district. This place has a range of bars and restaurants for you to visit. If you're heading up to Prague Castle, you'll be sure to pass a load of places en route.

Žižkov

This district, located to the east of the Old Town, has an insane amount of bars and clubs. It does attract a large student population, but there will still be a strong mix of like-minded party people.

Top Prague Pubs, Bars & Clubs

Double Trouble Bar & Club

This place is located just over 100 metres from the iconic Astronomical Clock, so it's right in the thick of the action. The cellar bar/club is very 'Prague' and will see you partying through 'til 4 am on the weekend.

Where: Melantrichova 970/17, 110 00 Staré Město, Czechia

Karlovy

Karlovy is a club that's split over five floors, each one boasting different genres for every group: Floor 1 = Mainstream, Floor 2 = Dance Music, Floor 3 = Oldies, Floor 4 = Hip Hop & RnB, and Floor 5 = Chill Out.

Where: Novotného lávka 198/13, 110 00 Staré Město, Czechia

M1 Lounge Bar & Club

Prague's biggest hip hop venue has had some big celebs partying within its walls (including MGK, AJ Tracey and more). It's located in the Old Town, so you won't have to go far to find it.

Where: Masná 1, 110 00 Staré Město, Czechia

KU

This place is very stag and hen friendly, and a great place to finish your night. It's open until 4 every night, so you won't have to cut short the party.

Where: Rytířská 13, 110 00 Staré Město, Czechia

Rocky O'Reily's Irish Bar

If you find yourselves partying in New Town, Rock O'Reillys is great craic. Look, we know you're in Prague, but the Irish don't half know how to party! Come here for live sports and get that night out started with a bang.

Where: Štěpánská 32, 110 00 Nové Město, Czechia

Londoners Sports Bar

If you're struggling to find some cuisine the guys will like, head to Londoners for some cracking beers, Indian curries and pub grub!

Where: Štěpánská 650/23, 110 00 Nové Město, Czechia

One Club Prague

A lively venue spread over a few floors, One Club is another popular choice for partiers in Prague. It's located in the Old Town, too, so it's easy to seek out.

Where: Melantrichova 504/5, 110 00 Staré Město, Czechia

Duplex

Dubbed 'the most famous club in Prague' (by themselves), we'd say it's worth putting their claims to the test.

Where: Václavské nám. 21, 110 00 Nové Město, Czechia

And for a complete rundown of our favourite stag-friendly places to party, be sure to check out our 12 best bars in Prague for a stag blog that's been updated for 2025.

The Best Time to Go

Unlike places like Benidorm or Albufeira, which are weather-dependent, Prague is fantastic all year round.

In 2023, 93% of our groups heading there went between March and September, and it was a pretty even spread throughout that period.

OK, the summer months are warmer, but the winter months are just as good, and the parties are outrageous no matter when you go.

How Long Do People Go On a Prague Stag Do For?

89% of stags going to Prague with StagWeb in 2023 went for 2 or 3 nights (which is 3 or 4 days).

Prague isn't too far to travel, so two nights is ok, but we'd highly recommend heading there for at least three to really make the most of the city.

Fair enough go to a UK city for two nights, but if you're heading abroad, you're going to want to make the most of it.

How Soon Do People Book?

Lads heading to Prague with us in 2023 ended up booking, on average, 6 months in advance which was two months earlier than most stags, according to our end-of-year stats.

But why were our Prague stags so organised?

Well, it's a combination of factors:

  • Flights are cheaper the earlier you book them
  • Prague is an incredibly popular city and things can book up months in advance
  • You can lock in the best deals the earlier you book

Makes sense.

Where to Stay in Prague

You can stay miles out of town if you really want to, but you could just book your Prague hotel or apartments with StagWeb and secure a central stag-friendly stay.

Yes, whilst you might find a cheap stay miles out, you'll end up splashing the cash on expensive taxis just to get to where the party's at (or walking miles!).

Why make things stressful?

Stay as central as you can to make the most of this top city.

All our hotel pages have maps on them, so you can find the perfect place for you that's closest to the action.

What to Do in Prague on a Stag Do

Among all the exploring and pub stops, we have 60+ Prague stag do ideas where you and the boys can go toe-to-toe across a range of activities (losers buy the beers!).

Plus, Prague has two football teams (Slavia and Sparta) for any footy fans looking to get their fix - we can sort your tickets for either team, fyi.

Throw in all the sights and nights out, you'll have a pretty solid itinerary mapped out... all that's left to sort is just how you're going to prank the groom.

Alternative Prague Stag Do Activities

Not every group going to Prague want to do the same old activities everyone else is doing.

Luckily, with over 60 activities on offer here at StagWeb, you won't be short of things to do on a Prague stag do.

Here are our 5 top alternative Prague stag activities:

  1. Beer Cycle Boat - 11 people per boat. 30 litres of beer per boat. 90 mins cruising down the Vltava. What's not to love about this epic activity?
  2. Curling - Fancy a bit of life-size shuffleboard? Well, say hello to curling! This Winter Olympic classic is available to book from September to April, so if you're going in this window definitely consider it.
  3. Indoor Skydiving - Skydiving without having to jump out of a plane? Sign us up! Get the adrenaline pumping as you take to the 14-metre flight chamber for a 3-minute free fall.
  4. Medieval Banquet - There's dining out, then there's dining out on a stag do in Prague. This is an alternative and downright delicious experience.
  5. Skiing & Snowboarding Pass - If you're going between December and March, why not hit the slopes? Nothing conquers those weary heads from the night before like carving up the mountainside.

The Best Prague Stag Activities for Small Groups

Just because you're a small group heading to Prague, it doesn't mean you can't have a mighty celebration when you're there.

These are some cracking options for smaller group sizes:

  1. Staropramen Brewery Tour - Groups big or small can enjoy a tour of one of Europe's best breweries: Staropramen. Enjoy four beers each as well as a guided tour from an English-speaking guide.
  2. Watch Slavia Prague or Sparta Prague - Footy fans have the choice of two teams to watch when they're there: Slavia or Sparta Prague. Head to the Fortuna Arena or epet ARENA and enjoy a beer in view of the pitch (something you can do in England).
  3. Prague Ice Bar - Ice bars are great for smaller groups as they're usually quite tight. Enjoy an ice-cold pint (literally) at Prague's premier ice bar.
  4. Quad Biking - One of the most popular stag activities going, quad biking is great for all group sizes.
  5. Party Boat - Small group? Fear not. We have a party cruise full of up to 500 other party people with a live DJ, bar and dance floor. A cracking way to party in Prague.

The Best Prague Stag Activities for Big Groups

For big groups looking for stag activities in Prague, you want as little hassle as possible. Below are our top picks for groom's with loads of mates.

  1. Go Karting - Some competitive action is always a winner and when it comes to Go Karting, the more the merrier. You may have to split into multiple groups depending on how big you are, but that can add to the competition. This indoor go kart track is epic.
  2. Karaoke - There's no limit when it comes to standing up in front of your mates and belting out some karaoke classics. In fact, the more people you can get up on the mic, the funnier it gets!
  3. Paintballing - Our Prague paintball experience is two hours of state-of-the-art paint warfare.
  4. Target Shooting - Find out who your group's sharpshooter is as you take to the range for some serious shooting action. You can dissect who was the best marksman with a beer on-site (after the shooting, obviously!).
  5. VIP Club Package in Duplex - Duplex is one of Prague's premier clubs, so let us sort you a VIP table with bottles and entry.

Best Sober Prague Stag Do Ideas

Prague might be famous for its boozy nightlife, but it's possible to go there and have a blast if you and the guys are going sober.

  1. Whitewater Rafting - Get the adrenaline pumping with a white-knuckle thrill ride down some seriously rapid rapids. You'll have an experienced instructor on hand to guide you through it!
  2. Health Spa - After months of stressful wedding planning, the groom might be in need of a detox. Rather than a boozy blowout, why not head to one of Prague's many health spas for a bit of rest and relaxation?
  3. Airsoft - This is serious stag warfare. Forget paintball and all the mess it makes, this is ultra-realistic war games with replica weapons. We're talking AK47s, M4 rifles and more.
  4. Bubble Football - Bubble footy is the craziest version of the beautiful game ever invented and perfect addition to your big Prague stag weekend. Bounce the groom into Row-Z as you crank up the competition and hilarity in equal measure.
  5. High Ropes Course - An obstacle course 65-feet in the air? This is not one for the feint-hearted or the height-phobic.

Things to See in Prague

Prague Castle

Towering over the city, the impressive castle stands tall at the top of the hill just over the river from the Old Town. Head up for a photo opp, but be warned, the queues can be long.

Charles Bridge

Charles Bridge is iconic and a must for a photo to prove you didn't spend your whole weekend sipping those delicious Czech pilsners.

Letna Park

Located along from the castle on the western side of the river, Letna Park has some cracking views out across the city.

Astronomical Clock

Located on a square in the Old Town (Staromĕstská radnice), this is one of Prague's must-see sights. And if you're thinking 'what's so interesting about a big bloody clock?!' just wait until you see it!

How to Get to Prague...

What Airport to Fly To...

Most UK airports offer direct flights to Václav Havel Airport Prague (be sure to check in advance).

How Long is the Flight from the UK?

Flights can take between 1 hr 50 mins to 2 hrs 20 mins depending on where you fly from.

Getting from the Airport to Prague...

Prague Airport is 16 kilometres from the centre (roughly a half-hour drive). There are a number of public transport buses and taxis outside the entrance ready to take you in.

You can catch the bus from Stand E and go to Nádraži Veleslavin Metro Station (Line A) which you can jump on to get to the centre of Prague. This costs about CZK 40-530 (€1.50-€2).

You need to buy your tickets in advance from the machines at the terminals or bus stops.

And although taxis and Uber are available, too, the easiest way to get to the city is to get an airport transfer straight to your accommodation.

When you submit your Prague stag enquiry, select 'Yes' when asked if you need airport transfers and our Destination Specialist will get that added to your quote.

You can also take your airport transfers to the next level by picking up a sexy hitchhiker en route!

No faff. No Hassle. Just great times with great friends.

Tips On Getting Around Prague

Walking - The Old Town and the rest of the city centre is manageable on foot. If you're walking up to Prague Castle, it's all uphill, but it's worth it and the views are outrageous.

Tram - The tram is a great way to get around and you'll spot them frequently flying through the centre of the city and beyond. You can either pay on the trams themselves or there are plenty of yellow vending machines dotted about.

Metro - Like London and Paris, Prague has its own Metro with three separate lines serving the city. You'll be able to buy tickets at the station, and they're valid for certain periods allowing you to jump on and off as you please.

Common Prague Stag Do FAQs

Is Prague good for a stag do?

Prague didn't become one of the most popular stag do destinations by accident. With 60+ ideas and activities to book, loads of awesome sights to see (including Prague Castle and the Astronomical Clock), cheap beer and big nights out, it ticks all the boxes you could need for that big weekend away.

Is Prague popular with stags?

Prague is one of our most popular stag do destinations! If you're visiting, make sure to stay close to the Old Town area which combines a lively daylife, lots of activities, and a buzzing nightlife.

What area in Prague is best for a stag?

The Old Town (Staré Mĕsto) is the vibrant heart of the city, boasting some of the biggest and best sights, bars, and more. Head to the Old Town Square (Staromĕnstské nám) and start your journey from there. The New Town is a bit more modern and commercial in and around Wenceslas Square, but you'll still be a short walk to the very best of Prague.

Is clubbing in Prague expensive?

Compared to a lot of European capital cities, Prague is comparatively cheap for its nights out. However, it simply depends on where you go. If you head to an exclusive VIP bar, expect to pay premium prices. To avoid the usual hassle on a big night out, book it in advance with StagWeb. That way, you know how much it costs. Our Destination Specialist will be able to advise you on the prices you can expect to pay when inside your venue.

How Much Money Should We Take to Prague?

Working out how much money you should take to Prague can be a bit tricky if you've never been. Our Prague Destination Specialist, says that budgeting £75-£100 daily will be more than enough and, for stags on a budget, you can have a cracking time on less.

Has Prague banned pub crawls?

Prague has banned organised pub crawls from 10 pm until 6 am in a bid to reduce noise issues late at night. However, most stags will be going on pub crawls earlier than this anyway, plus there is nothing stopping you doing a DIY crawl so it shouldn't affect your plans too much.

Do you offer Prague stag do packages?

Yes, we have a range of Prague stag do packages available to book online 24/7. You also have the option to build your own package from scratch if you can't quite find what you're looking for. Hit that link for the readymade packages or head to the top of the page for a complete list of our Prague activities and nightlife options.

Do your Prague stag do packages include flights?

No, we don't offer flights with our stag do packages, but for a very good reason - it works out cheaper for you to go direct. Whilst we get industry rates for our activities and accommodation options, it is definitely better value for you to book your flights directly with the airlines.

Does Prague have a Red Light District?

Prague does have a 'Red Light District' but it's an unofficial area unlike its counterpart in Amsterdam. In and around Wenceslas Square, in the New Town, you'll find an array of strip joints and bars that are on the raunchy side. From Goldfingers, Hot Peppers, Golden Eye and more, there are plenty to choose from, but we'd recommend booking through us, so you have a better level of protection.

What's StagWeb's cancellation policy on Prague stag weekend?

We understand plans can change and you may need to cancel your Prague stag weekend or change your date, etc. which is why we're as flexible as possible. If you need to change anything (date, activities, destination, etc.), we'll work with you to see what can be done. However, if you decide you do need to cancel, that's fine, just bear in mind that all deposit and instalments payments are non-refundable. Check out our FAQs and take a look at our Terms and Conditions before you book.
