One insurance company (not even a stag or hen company) said the average cost was as high as £1,500 per person…
Good one!

“Those companies claiming stag parties cost people £1,500 is fake news at its finest,” said Jamie Birleson, StagWeb’s Head of Sales.
“Unless you’re staying in a castle, hiring your own private yacht and eating gold-encrusted steak all weekend, you aren’t getting near those figures.
“Don’t get us wrong, the cost of a stag do has gone up in the last 10 years for a variety of reasons, but they’re nowhere near the insane figures being bandied about.
“Our stats above don’t take into consideration the cost of transport and food and drink money, but there’s no way people are dropping a grand on that.”
