Hamburg Stag Activities

Let's be honest, when you think "Hamburg stag do," you think beer. You simply can't have one without the other and we fully appreciate that groups who have picked this fine city are probably keen students in all forms of fine ales and lagers. On that front Hamburg really does live up to all the hype. At StagWeb we have suffered the hangovers to prove it (ahem, all in the name of research of course).

What Hamburg activities are on offer?

There's no doubting that Hamburg is a history with sporting pedigree and that's reflected in competitive nature of some of the activities on offer, with its team sports like 5-a-Side or Paintball you can opt to go head to head in challenges such as Target Shooting or Go Karting. These activities have been built up around a great infrastructure which means it's easy to get around between all the top drawer modern, facilities on offer with characteristic German efficiency and timings.

Beers in Hamburg...

Funnily enough… When it comes to the amber nectar in Hamburg, it's like shooting beer in a barrel. At StagWeb we do like to bring you something different that you won't find in other destination and Hamburg has some great opportunities to create a really unique and memorable weekend for all the stags and send the main man off in style as he says goodbye to the single life and takes that lemming-like leap into matrimony.

So here's a look at our favourite weird and whacky events from Germany's second largest city.

• Brewery Tour - It's like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory except instead of chocolate there's beer and no Oompa Loompas but beer. And there's beer!
• Brewery Lunch - Yes, there does seem to be a bit of a theme developing here but we know what our stags want. So while we can't actually arrange a p*ss up in a brewery (because of health & safety & overconsumption!) you can at least have lunch in a working brewery and some complimentary drinks. "Hmmmm now what shall I have…?"
• River Cruise - For the cool calm and collected stag about town this is a great way to really see a bit of Hamburg (and do a recce for the night's festivities) as you cruise along the river Elbe like the laid back gents you are.
• Target Shooting - "You've got to ask yourself a question; 'Do I feel lucky?' Well do ya, punk?" If the answer's yes and you reckon you can beat the stags in a shoot off then this is the one for you. A selection of guns to choose from including; .45 calibre pistols, 9mm, 1894 Marlin (cowboy) revolvers and infamous 357 Magnum as used by Dirty Harry himself.
• Segway Tour - Gyroscopically balanced. That's a reference to the Segways themselves not the stags. However, these nifty machines are a great way to have a look at the city and hilarious fun as you zip along at a surprisingly fast pace.

At this point, we should probably point out that Hamburg beer is as good as Hamburg hangovers are bad. So think ahead when planning your nights out and events as to what you should or should do in what order.

If you are heading out on the beer bikes then make sure you do that after any shooting activities and not before. Yep, we know most of you will be well aware of this small details but you'd be surprised that there are still those that might turn up to a shooting activity feeling like Dirty Harry but staggering around like Mel Gibson.
