Man cannot live on beer alone. It says so in the good book (The Best Man-ual), in between the big laughs, high adventures and trips to the casino you're going to need to eat. So, here's a selection of the best restaurants to suit every taste and budget.
Best for Budget
Tacos el Gordo
3049 S Las Vegas Blvd, NV 89109
Tacos el Gordo probably get their name from the amount they stuff in the golden shells (el Gordo = fat). Forget everything you thought you knew about tacos and get your lips around one of these bad boys. Throw on extra chillies or add some fries and you're good to go. You can have the taco exactly your way with a good selection of fillings (as long as you like pork or beef) and extras. Best of all they're dirt cheap (half the price of a kebab back home, twice as good) and can be found in several sites across Vegas.
Best for Beer
Banger Brewing
450 Fremont St Suite 135 Las Vegas, NV 89101
Hold your horse there, we can't belittle American beer any more (we're looking at you B**w****r), in fact craft brewing in the US is in excellent shape thanks to companies like Banger Brewing. As well as serving great beer they also serve fantastic food, real heart of America stuff like Mac 'n' Cheese, Bacon Popcorn, peanut butter and jelly and a great selection of fries. It's also a real cool place to just hang.
Best for Foodies
Nobu
Hard Rock Hotel, 4455 Paradise Rd, NV 89109, USA
Las Vegas has a wealth of high end restaurants, attracting big name, superstar chefs from Gordon Ramsay to Guy Savoy. One of the real picks has to be Nobu, a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavours, this is a real dining experience in a restaurant co-owned by Robert de Niro. Even the cocktails are outstanding, but it might bend your budget slightly with tasting menus starting at $125 - $280 per person.
Best for Carnivores
Echo & Rig
440 S. Rampart Blvd, NV 89145
If you're a meat eater, do not pass go and do not even think about eating anywhere else until you've been to Echo and Rig. This is steak as it is meant to be served, in fact these guys are complete masters of meat (they even have their own butchers shop onsite). Located off The Strip it's well worth making the journey and prices are incredible, you'll get a giant rib-eye steak for half you'd pay in the big resorts. You'll also get Echo & Rig's own rubs and sauces. It's a steak lovers paradise.
Best for Burgers
Stripburger
3200 S Las Vegas Blvd, NV 89109, USA
If you've ever held a floppy and deflated looking burger from some global giant corporation and wondered what real burgers should look and taste like, then your search is over. Stripburger is the burger joint at the end of the rainbow, the true taste of happiness (and who knew happiness was so wallet friendly?). The burgers are outstanding, there's a huge selection of extras, there's even adult milkshakes and a great cocktail menu. Try not to fall in love with the Whisky BBQ Burger. Nah-ah, it's not possible!
Best for Pizza
Grimaldi's
7155 S. Rainbow Blvd Ste. 125, NV 89118
Now THIS is how you do pizza! The smell, the taste, the size, everything about a Grimaldi pizza will make you want to sell your very last possession and move to America just to be a bit nearer. Think we're exaggerating, try a slice and tell us that you aren't already putting your car in Autotrader and hunting for an ‘apartment’ in downtown Vegas.

Best for Sports
TAP Sports Bar
MGM Grand, 3799 S Las Vegas Blvd, NV 89109, USA
Packed with memorabilia and magic moments from iconic US sporting legends this is a great diner for sports fans of all guises. As well as the kind of food you’d find inside a typical sports stadium that you've always wanted to try, there's also more comprehensive menu of American classics. It also has HUGE breakfasts. A great place to be during NFL, NBA or MLB games, it's located just off the floor of the MGM casino.
