If the groom and his closest mates are all used to living the city lifestyle, then making a quick escape for a country stag do for some fresh air and hard core action could be the perfect tonic for the daily grind of city living.
There are some fantastic destinations on offer if you really want to get away from it all with wide open spaces and epic stag activities.

And the Royal Marines think it's such good fun they've made Dartmoor their training ground.
The Great Outdoors
While many groups will already have an idea of what they want to do with their evenings (which for a select few groups includes the occasional alcoholic beverage) the sheer number of activities stags have to choose from sometimes makes it hard to pin down exactly what to do.
Our advice would be "dare to be different". The chances are your group will consist of guys who have attended other stag dos recently. That means they might have already tried some of the most well known activities.
Getting out into the great beyond gives you a huge playground to try something new.
- Bushcraft - Ray Mears, Bear Grylls and now you. You can even line up a bush tucker trial.
- Assault Course - A great chance to put the lads through their paces with a tough guy competition.
- Tractor Racing - A taste of the country and damn funny to boot. It's like formula one with added wellies.
- Gorge Walking - Climbing, swimming, scrambling, abseiling and tombstoning over and through some really challenging terrain. Requires teamwork, stamina and guts.
- White Water Rafting - White water rafting offers a massive thrill ride from start to finish. A great team activity and probably just about the most fun you can have with a life-jacket on.
